    Faithful Navigator's Message

    Sir Knights:

First I would like to thank everyone for their hard work on the Irish Wake. This event is our biggest fund raiser for the year and it supports all our charities. Bill Schafer, Lenny Castillo and Brendan O’Shea spent many hours working on the event and if you did not make it to the dinner you missed the best corned beef ever. Brendan slow cooked the meat and it melted in your mouth like butter. The Actors in the Skit were the hit of the night once again. Many thanks for their hard work. I hope we can do it again next year at a different Council in our Assembly.

Don’t forget to start looking around your Councils for candidates for the upcoming Fourth Degree in September. Our Assembly needs new members to maintain our membership numbers and younger members to take over. Be proud to be a Sir Knight, keep that fire burning in your heart and share that with our Third Degree Members. We’re the visible part of the Knights and the ones in Regalia are the backbone of the Knights of Columbus. Thanks to all of our Veteran Members for their hard work in the past. Remember the future of the Assembly will be in the young members that join us so encourage them.

Lenten season is a time for fasting and giving up something you like or giving of yourself. It’s a great time for daily Mass. If you can, say the Rosary and of course the Stations of the Cross. Every Friday night after your Fish Fry you can do that. If your council is not doing a Fish Fry email Lenny or myself and we will let you know where you can go to enjoy them. They are open to everyone so you can bring people that are from any faith and show them what we are all about in a none offensive way.

Our fiscal year is coming to an end again and like every other year it is time to look to our membership for new Leaders. If you are thinking about becoming a leader in our Assembly contact David Vezzetti (909) 921-4127

. This coming year our Assembly is getting one of the hardest working members in our history, Lenny Castillo. He will be our next Faithful Navigator. Lenny has leadership qualities that will bring this Assembly to new levels. Please think about being part of his team in the upcoming fiscal year.

Keep praying for our Leadership in Washington to do the right thing. Your prayers are powerful and your faith in our Lord can do wonderful things. Keep in mind our fellow members, wives and families that need our prayers..
